What artists say

  • Nobody carries cash anymore. Now the whole room can tip, and they actually do.

    Travelin’ Jed

  • The requests are the best part. Someone paid to bump their song to number one and the whole bar got into it.

Why it works

More engagement. More tips.

Fans become part of the show when they can request songs and tip from their seat. A cash tip jar only collects from the handful of people who happen to have cash. SongRave is a virtual tip jar everyone in the room can use, and people who take part tip more.

Where the extra money comes from

  • Everyone can pay

Most of your fans do not have cash to tip. With SongRave they tip from the phone already in their hand. No app, no account, no sign-up.

  • Requests are tips

Fans pay to request a song, and the room watches a live ranked queue of what’s coming up. A request is a tip with a reason attached, and people give more when there’s a reason.

  • Send to Top

When a fan wants their song played next, SongRave shows them what it takes to jump to number one.

  • Bigger ways to give

Supporter levels let a fan give $20, $50, or more with one tap, with a shout-out or perk you choose. The fan who loves you finally has a way to show it.

Getting started

Up and running before soundcheck.

  1. 1

    Create your page

Sign in with Google or your email. Add your name, a photo, and your genres. Two minutes.

  2. 2

    Add your songs

Paste your list or upload a spreadsheet. Build setlists for different rooms, or let fans pick from everything.

  3. 3

    Print your QR code

Your QR code always links to your show, so QR code tipping works the same at every gig. Put it on a stand, your case, or the screen behind you. It sends fans to your live show while you’re playing and to your profile when you’re not.

  4. 4

    Tap Go Live

Requests and tips are shown on your phone as they happen.

Payouts go to your bank automatically, free, in about two days. Need it tonight? Instant payout to your debit card in minutes.

During the show

Fans become part of the show.

Every request and tip comes with a name and a note, and the whole room watches the queue move. The show stops being something fans watch and becomes something they’re in.

In the crowd

  • Scan, pick a song, pay in seconds. No app, no account.
  • Watch your request climb the live queue. Send it to the top if you can’t wait.
  • A little celebration on your phone when your song gets played.

On stage

  • Names and notes land on your phone in real time. Thank Sarah for the twenty from the mic.
  • Requests reorder as money comes in, so the queue runs itself. Mark a song played with a swipe.
  • Works on a bad signal. Tips and requests are saved on the fan’s phone and sent when the connection returns.

After the show

Cash walks out the door. Fans stick around.

Fans can follow you and opt in to hear about your next show. You get a list of the people who tipped, what they requested, and how often they come back.

  • Followers and email opt-ins

The stranger who loved your set tonight can find you next month.

  • Next-show announcements

Publish a show and your followers hear about it. Nothing for you to send.

  • Your fan list, yours to keep

Export it any time. SongRave never sells it or locks it up.

How it compares

The tip jar that takes song requests.

Cash and Venmo collect money and stop there. Song request apps assume a booked stage and steady wifi. SongRave does both, anywhere you play.

Questions

Straight answers.

What does SongRave actually cost?

Nothing to sign up, and no monthly fee for your digital tip jar. SongRave keeps 10% of each tip and the other 90% goes to you. Fans are asked to cover credit card fees, and most do.

Is SongRave a tip jar or a song request app?

Both. Fans use QR code tipping to give any amount, or pay to request a song and watch it climb a live ranked queue. One virtual tip jar and one song request app, on the same QR code.

Do fans need an app or an account?

No. They scan your code, pick a song or an amount, and pay with Apple Pay, Google Pay, or a card. Nothing to install and nothing to sign up for.

How and when do I get paid?

Tips go to your bank automatically about two days after the show, free. If you want it tonight, request an instant payout to your debit card. Stripe charges about 1.5% for instant payouts, with a 50 cent minimum.

What if the venue has bad wifi?

It keeps working. Requests and tips are saved on the fan’s phone and sent when the signal comes back, so you don’t lose the moment.

I mostly play covers. Does that matter?

Covers, originals, or both. Fans request from whatever you put in your catalog.

Do I have to schedule shows ahead of time?

No. You can create a show and go live from your phone in about a minute. Scheduling ahead lets fans find you in Find a Show and gives your followers a heads-up, but it’s optional.

Does it work for busking, weddings, or private events?

Yes. You don’t need a venue name or a street address. Put the code on your case, your merch table, or a welcome sign. Same QR code everywhere.

Can I control what fans see and pay?

Yes. Set your minimum tip and preset amounts, choose whether requests are first-come or top-bidder, and turn Send to Top prompts on or off. Fans never see dollar amounts on requests, only the ranking.

Can I keep track of my fans?

Of course. When fans follow you or opt in to your updates, you get that data, and you can export your fan list at any time.

Your next show could pay double.

Free to sign up. Set up in minutes. Nothing to cancel, because there’s nothing to subscribe to.
